The world cup was opened yesterday by an amazing performance that dazzled the stadium as Jenifer Lopez, Pitbull and Claudia Leitte took the stage as they all sang "We Are One" shortly before the first game of the tournament began at the Corinthians Arena.

Over 62,600 people were in attendance at Thursday's big ceremony, including Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff, UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
